Bid on real work. Get paid without chasing it.
RoofHub is a marketplace for roofing companies who would rather quote a properly measured job than drive across the city for a kitchen-table estimate that goes nowhere.
What you get
No lead fees
You don't pay for leads and you don't pay to bid. RoofHub takes a percentage of jobs you actually win — nothing on the ones you don't. That percentage moves with your reviews, so good work costs you less.
Sealed bidding
You never see a competitor's price and they never see yours. There is no price-to-beat and no live auction, so you bid your number rather than someone else's.
Measured before you quote
Every project arrives with roof area, pitch, ridges, hips, valleys, eaves and penetrations already worked out. You price the job instead of measuring it.
You choose the work
Bid, decline, or ignore it entirely. There is no penalty for passing and no obligation to take anything. You can come back and bid later while the job is open.
Your own service area
You decide which areas you want work in, so you're not driving an hour for a job that was never worth the trip.
Funded before you start
The customer's money is secured before materials are ordered. You are not starting a roof hoping the cheque clears.
What we ask of you
The verification is the reason homeowners trust the bids. It is the same for everyone.
- A registered business and verified identity for authorised users
- Current commercial liability insurance
- Applicable WSIB clearance
- A bank account for payouts
- The product system and warranty you are actually quoting
We hold your insurance and WSIB expiry dates and remind you before they lapse. If one does expire, bidding pauses until it is current again — that is a compliance hold, not a black mark.
What stays yours
RoofHub runs the transaction. It does not run your company.
- Your crews, your subcontractors, your scheduling
- The call on whether conditions are safe to work in
- Your pricing and your margin — we never show a homeowner your costs
- Your workmanship warranty and your relationship with the customer
Straight answers
- What does RoofHub charge?
- A percentage of the jobs you win, taken when the project is funded. It starts at 10% and every contractor begins there. Nothing upfront, nothing per lead, nothing on a bid that doesn't win.
- Does my rate ever change?
- Yes, and you should know that before you sign up. Your rate is tied to how your finished jobs are reviewed by the homeowners who paid for them. Everyone starts at 10% and stays there until you have ten completed reviews — one bad day early on cannot move it. After that the rate is set by your score and is recalculated as new reviews come in, so it can go back down as easily as it went up. Sustained poor reviews raise it, to a maximum of 20%. Your worst review out of every ten is dropped before the score is worked out.
- Can I see what other contractors bid?
- No, and they cannot see yours. After a job is completed, contractors who bid and didn't win are shown the accepted price — no names, no other bids — so you get useful market feedback without a bidding war.
- Do I have to use your materials?
- You choose the product system when you bid. Once the homeowner accepts it, that is what gets ordered — which protects you as much as them, because nobody can claim you promised something different.
- When do I get paid?
- You submit completion evidence. The homeowner can approve and release straight away, or the seven-day window runs and the payment releases if nothing is raised.
- How many jobs can I win?
- As many as you can handle. We don't cap it — managing your capacity is your call.
